Hi folks!
I get asked this question a lot by people who want to cross into the sweet field of Computers and Information Technology: Which area of specialization is future-proof?
The answer is simple for somone like me who studied Computer Science and has over 20 years of experience and exposure to IT.
Whenever people build things or set up some type of product or organizational structure, they want to secure it from all kinds of invasive, seasonal or persistent threats.
In the Infotech field this practice and specialty is called Cybersecurity.
According to Wikipedia, "Computer security, cyber security , digital security or information technology security (IT security) is the protection of computer systems and networks from attack by malicious actors that may result in unauthorized information disclosure, theft of, or damage to hardware, software, or data, as well as from the disruption or misdirection of the services they provide.
Cybersecurity is one of the most significant challenges of the contemporary world, due to both the complexity of information systems and the societies they support. Security is of especially high importance for systems that govern large-scale systems with far-reaching physical effects, such as power distribution, elections, and finance."
Cybersecurity is the profession that will always be relevant, and will never die.
